Nichols Hills is a city in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States, and is located in NW OKC. As of the Census assessment of 2010, the population was 3,710. Premised on per community sales, it is deemed the most luxurious community in Oklahoma.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total land area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), of which 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2) is soil, and half a percent is water.
Dr. G.A. Nichols developed the 1,280 acre land now recognized as Nichols Hills in 1929 as an exclusive suburban neighborhood. The University, Paseo Arts District, Military Park, Central Park, Winans, University Place, Gatewood, Harndale, Nichols University Place, and Lincoln Terrace neighborhoods of Oklahoma City were built between 1907 and 1929 by Dr. Nichols, an Oklahoma City real estate founder, Nichols also helped plan the city of Nicoma Park.
