Deer Creek area seeing rapid development

As the Deer Creek area in far northwest OKC continues to grow at a rapid pace, retail is starting to follow.

Buffalo Wild Wings has filed plans for its first new-concept location for the southeast corner of 164th and Portland.

Well under construction is Rose Creek Plaza at 164th & May which will include a brand new Homeland very similar to their excellent and popular new store at NE 36th & Lincoln, with much more retail space all around.

At Rose Creek Country Club, a multi-million dollar renovation has not only greatly improved the golf course but has seen the addition of two new restaurants and bars. Neighborhood Provisions is open to all while Cache is a members-only speakeasy.

At 178th & May, the first Jack Be pick-up-only grocery store is nearing completion, as is a new 7-Eleven with Laredo Taco and Taco Bell. A large brewery and taproom is planned for just north of Jack Be and Winston restaurant and bar has started work on the northeast corner.

Farther west, Chick-Fil-A and Taco Casa are underway on the southwest corner of Rockwell and the Kilpatrick Turnpike. As the Paycom headquarters contiunes its rapid expansion nearby, on the northeast corner of Rockwell and the turnpike Walmart has purchased property and filed plans for a supercenter, but has yet to start construction.
