Chesapeake Arena to get significant MAPS4 upgrades

MAPS4 is beginning, and $115 million at Chesapeake Arena will go towards upgrades.

The tentative timeline is to commence in the summer of 2021 and run for a period of 5 years.

"Dan Mahoney, the chief spokesman for the Thunder, said all the proposals presented to members of the Oklahoma City Council would contribute to the "long-term sustainability, long-term performance of the Chesapeake Energy Arena, both from the point of view of the team and from the viewpoint of the group."
